Parents spend untold billions on video and computer games for their kids. Why? Because all the other kids do and yours will want to join in the fun.
Some parents don't allow these games, which is a difficult rule to enforce these days, given the widespread usage of these devices.
Of course, you want your child to be computer literate, but did you know that in many ways, the piano WAS the first computer?
The piano exercises human brain cells in a way no other device can, and has been doing so to the benefit of children's brains for several centuries. The video game has no demonstrable positive effect on children's intellectual abiilities, while the piano has centuries of proof of its positive effect.
Thus, you may want to consider an addition to that video game purchase, a purchase that may interest your child in music in a way they will find equally fun: Piano By Number.
This is because kids find Piano By Number to be fun, not work.
They launch into playing music with gusto because numbers make the "language" of music simple enough for them to enjoy.
Whether it's summer or winter, not every childhood moment can be spent enjoying the great outdoors.
So when you need some indoor fun, try Piano By Number as well as video games.
At least, Piano By Number may later lead to an interest in piano and music, whereas the benefit of the computer skills learned with video games are usually offset by their noticeably mind-numbing content.
Ever looked into your kid's eyes after two hours on the computer?
The next rainy day you have, you'll be glad you have Piano By Number in the house.
